It was only a matter of time before Fox News hopped on the story about Burien’s scheduled vote in the fall to repeal its sanctuary city—or “safe city”—ordinance.
This week, Fox News aired a segment with O’Reilly Factor protégé Jesse Watters interviewing Burien City Council candidate Pedro Olguin and Craig Keller, the Seattle-based sponsor of the repeal petition.
See the tape at 0:31 and then at 2:17, when Olguin, who is running on a platform that supports immigrants’ rights, emphasizes the correct pronunciation of “Burien.”
Notably, the segment that followed dealt with whether immigrants should be able to speak English when they enter the United States.
