T-Mobile and AT&T announced that their withdrew their bid to the FCC for merger approval. The companies say that they’re not giving up, they’re just looking for approval through the Department of Justice instead.

  1. okay, not going to take amtrak ever if my weekend plans depend on it, which is why i would be taking it. they need to stop those mudslides, what is this 1879?

    we don’t have high speed rail. we don’t really even have low speed rail if it’s subject to forces of nature like this.

  2. Re the AT&T/T-Mo merger, the story’s even more “interesting” than what your blurb says. AT&T paid out the $4 billion penalty to Deutsche Telecomm yesterday that was payable in the event the deal fell through. That hardly sounds like “not giving up” to me.
