Who cares about Assange’s love children? That doesn’t make him “shady” it makes him a normal celebrity. Don’t buy into the CIA smear campaign for God’s sake.
What’s typical of the “increasingly shady” Assange story is that it pretends like his behavior is more important than the information he’s releasing.
Does Slog describe Hillary Clinton as “increasingly shady” because Wikileaks revealed that her office asked our reps at the U.N. to spy on other representatives?
Does Slog describe Obama as “increasingly shady” because Wikileaks revealed that his administration lied about shipping arms to Yemen via Saudi Arabia? Is Obama “increasingly shady” because our military bombed suspected terrorists in Yemen and killed 41civilians including 14 women and 21 children, and then vigorously lied that it was the Yemeni who did the bombing?
I know, I know, that stuff isn’t sexy. It’s not like Clinton is asking her staff to spy on Seattle artists and it’s not like Obama is burning alive and blowing to pieces poor women and children in America. (What kind of monster would try to solve complex regional problems by bombing American civilians?)
