Seahawks quarterback and Super Christian™ Russell Wilson will raise a flag on top of the Space Needle on Sunday in partnership with Strong Against Cancer and Seattle Children’s hospital. The event serves as the kick-off to Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, which begins in September.
“Seattle Children’s hopes that the flag will boost awareness of the unique T-cell immunotherapy clinical trials underway at Seattle Children’s, which use a child’s own immune system to target and destroy cancer,” the Puget Sound Business Journal reports.
The event is not open to the public. Sorry, 12s!
Wishing @dangerusswilson lots of luck in the @seahawks 1st preseason game! The #StrongAgainstCancer 12s will be cheering loud!! #GoHawks pic.twitter.com/9NVgH1wPr3
