Governor Jay Inslee will be answering a Reddit AMA at 1 p.m. today. Here are some questions, oh, I don’t know, somebody might want to ask him:
1. Are you opposed to Arctic drilling?
2. Will you call on Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell to reject all Arctic drilling?
3. Do you believe the recent research published in Nature showing that we’d have to keep all Arctic oil and gas reserves in the ground if we want to stop the world from charging past a two-degree-Celsius rise in temperature—a scenario international leaders have long agreed is the “dangerous” climate change tipping point?
4. On a scale of “desperately hoping this all goes away quietly” to “I guess I should do something about this,” how do you feel about running a state that’s hosting Shell’s Arctic drilling rigs?
5. Do you think that you can still be considered the “greenest governor” if Shell uses Seattle as an Arctic drilling homeport on your watch?
6. Seattle City Council member Mike O’Brien says the Port of Seattle made a mistake. Do you agree?
And, okay, the one question that probably will get asked anyway:
7. Would you rather have fish sticks for fingers or mozzarella sticks for toes?
