More information on the fatal stabbing that occurred in Cal Anderson Park last weekend: According to witnesses, the stabbing, which left 25-year-old Rayshauna Webber dead, occurred around 3 AM Sunday morning after the suspect offered to light the cigarette of one of the women in Webber’s party. The alleged attacker, David Nichols, is being held on $2,000,000 bail for murder in the second degree and assault in the second degree. More here from Capitol Hill Seattle Blog.

And I oop—: Ilhan Omar called Trump a “fascist” today. Here’s the video:

Her comments are in response to Trump’s new rallying chant: “SEND HER BACK,” which premiered last night in North Carolina. Trump said today that he disavowed the chant and quickly pivoted—but video from last night contradicts his claim.

Today, an emergency meeting was called with U.S. Capitol Police to discuss the young progressive Democrats’ safety: The Democratic chairman of the House of Representatives’ Homeland Security Committee cited “heightened threats” and wrote, “Last night at a campaign rally, the president once again used inflammatory rhetoric about the four congresswomen.”

Meanwhile, Omar’s reputation only grows at home: Yes, in Minneapolis, her home. And look! Jayapal is right behind her. (Extra cute for me because Omar represents my old district in Minneapolis, and Jayapal represents my current district in Seattle.)

Jeff Bezos revealed why he’s blowing his loads in space: “I spend my billions on space because we’re destroying Earth,” the richest person in the world said in a CBS Evening News interview. Here’s a passage of what he said:

BEZOS: “We send things up into space, but they are all made on Earth. Eventually it will be much cheaper and simpler to make really complicated things, like microprocessors and everything, in space and then send those highly complex manufactured objects back down to earth, so that we don’t have the big factories and pollution generating industries that make those things now on Earth. And Earth can be zoned residential.”

God, more of these bullshit quotes: Bezos needs to take some acid and chill.

BEZOS: “Everybody who goes to space says they come back a little changed and they realize how beautiful this planet is and how small and fragile it is. Something that we can’t see when we are down here, but from up there it becomes obvious.”

Boeing released their losses: Boeing announced a $4.9 billion after-tax accounting charge related to the ongoing 737 Max crisis/grounding. The announcement indicates this will be Boeing’s first quarterly loss in ten years, reports the Seattle Times. It is also predicted to be the largest loss in Boeing’s history. Killing people is expensive!

Microsoft, on the other hand…: Has all the money. The company announced a “record year” $126 billion in annual revenue. That’s up 14%, reports GeekWire.

House Democrats passed a $15 minimum wage bill: Along party lines. The bill would raise the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour, a big victory for Democrats. That said, the Senate is definitely not going to pass this thing.

BREAKING: The Cats trailer has landed. Will it be a catastrophe?

Reasons it may not be a catastrophe: Jennifer Hudson is cast as a creepy little cat but damn she can sing. Academy Award-winning director Tom Hooper, of Les Misérables and The King’s Speech fame, is directing the film. Judi Dench. Ian McKellen. Idris Elba. All in it. As cats. And never, ever underestimate the sexual power of furries. Yes, Cats is insanity. It’s bad. But mark my words Jason Derulo’s sexy cat is gonna turn a legion of tween girls into cat-fetishizing monsters.

I’m on Team Cats: A tiny, creepy kitty-version of Jennifer Hudson is gonna be belting on that Oscars stage.

FBI has confirmed: That Donald Trump and his top aides were directly involved in discussions that led to paying off Stormy Daniels. Is that… an impeachable offense?

Trump confirmed that the US just shot down an Iranian drone: Near the Strait of Hormuz. Trump is saying that the move was defensive and in response to the drone coming within 1,000 yards of the U.S.S. Boxer. “This is the latest of many provocative and hostile actions by Iran against vessels operating in international waters,” Trump said. Buckle up!

The teens have started arriving for Capitol Hill Block Party: They’ve come from distant lands—Bellevue.
