It just keeps getting better…
On the heels of news that the Heene parents will face charges for what has now been deemed a “hoax” โ the Larimer County, Colo., sheriff’s department says the Heenes “manipulated authorities and media into believing their son had flown away in a balloon (he was later found hiding in the attic) โ comes this video, shot just after the Heenes appeared on Wife Swap.
In the video the Heene boys rap about the “pussification” of men and frequently use the word “faggot.” At about the 2 minute and 50 second mark, one of the boys talks about throwing a rock at a “faggot” in a tree.
Here’s the video…

Let’s not forget these boys are being raised by a father who barely graduated high school… no higher education required to raise a child!
Dan: the video has been passed around since Thursday afternoon. Is this the first you’ve heard of it?!
Thank goodness these boys are being so well raised by a mother and father. Imagine if their parents were fags.
The internet is a race and I lost.
I predict a reality show soon.
The more attention they get, the crazier they become, and we continue to feed them.
Their father will learn the true definition of “pussification” if he ends up in prison.
The reality show will be a contest between the Heenes and Palins for most giving clown car.
Just when I thought that as charges were being filed that the Heene family would now have no supporters in their time of crisis, we now know they may be able to count on some of the same crowds who stepped up for Carrie Prejean.
With all the seriously bad people in this world, it’s often really illogical which ones will trigger the voice inside my head to think “I wish somebody would just kill that guy” even though I don’t really mean it. This is one of those times.
Nice kid. Can we put him on a balloon and send him off somewhere?
The internet is only a race if what you prefer regurgitation over digestion.
For example – this post features what? 8 – 12 year-old boys? Amusing themselves? Just before singing about “faggots” they recite the “beans, beans, the magical fruit” poem with great relish.
How many of our childhoods would survive critical inquiry?
What are we to expect with the ubiquity of digital media, and the ease with which it is manipulated and distributed.
I submit that this is just the 10 year-old boy version of the 15 year-old girl “sexting”.
Thankfully there is no such record of my childhood. But I _was_ frequently threatened with notes about misbehavior being added to my “permanent record”. Back then there was no such thing; now we can watch what happens to the generation that does, in fact, have one.
Make the parents pay the costs for the operation and just let it go. If he pulls another similar shit like the one they did in the future then consider removal. The dad is an attention whore for a reality show but so are many others who appear on the news and like to write books to promote whatever they want to. So there is no need to get all high and mighty, especially when you are doing the same.
The kids don’t seem to be malnourished or lacking any other need, so there is no need to go beyond the required penalty for the parents.
WTF @ 0:48?!?
@4 Well, you’re still ahead of me in the race. UI hadn’t seen this until you posted it.
So I guess I’m the red lantern* of the internet on this one.
*(In the Iditarod the last racer to finish is awarded the Red Lantern – which is also what traditionally was hung at on a train’s caboose to indicate that was the last car of the train.)
11, Dan is not putting his child on TV, and Youtube. Do you not understand the difference?
What would you say if the kids were singing about throwing rocks at black people?
I saw these guys on Wife Swap… The dad is a raving nut case, and the wife is crazy herself for staying with him.
I pity the children. They have no other role model.
Ugh. I’m going back to bed.
We are well past the point where the parents can control what children post to the internet. Children are not little adults. Their conscious minds are alien – we get confused because they look like little people, but they’re really operating under a completely foreign set of parameters.
They do not share the same frame of reference as you do. There is no meaningful way for an adult to extrapolate their interior landscape from their actions.
I think I’m the only one in the world, but I think we should grant this family a presumption of innocence. We’ve lowered the bar of guilty too far, such that a Sheriff merely has to say that a person is guilty and News Organizations will immediately run that headline (with the caveat quoted somewhere deep in the story).
Thus far, the only evidence that the Sheriff has sited is what Falcon said on the Larry King Show. The Sheriff has not actually made an arrest, and the family has not actually been charged with anything yet.
Yes, the family is odd, and the parents may very well be guilty of whatever charges are levied; but I certainly hope there’s more evidence than what they’ve said.
Help!
I’m trapped in a balloon with the President of the Chamber of Commerce and he’s trying to let the air out! He keeps muttering something about the goats getting into his stash of medical marijuana …
@17 “We are well past the point where the parents can control what children post to the internet.”
We are? You are, maybe.
How about: don’t buy your kids a god-damn video recorder. Or, don’t let them borrow yours. How about: pay attention to what your kids are doing online. How about: control your effing kids like a responsible adult?
I don’t think anyone’s hating on the kids for singing about faggots, per se. I think the issue is that they obviously got that word from somewhere, obviously weren’t taught not to use it and obviously think it’s funny/clever. They don’t share the same frame of reference as adults – but their parents do.
If you’re bringing your kids up well, they won’t be rapping about faggots and “pussification”. If you’re being attentive and responsible, they won’t be posting videos to the internet (at this age, at least) that you have no idea about. That’s two sets of fail for the Heene parents.
@ 10, 17, 20 – You really think the kids filmed and edited this without the parents’ (most likely the dad’s) help?! They wrote the lyrics, set up the shots, operated the camera – while appearing in the shot – and edited the footage all by themselves!? If that were true, those are some damn talented kids.
It’s not the equivalent of “sex-ting” if your dad holds the camera. It’s child abuse.
It seems obvious to me that this video was conceived and choreographed by the parents. Its not so much that the children have been caught “just being kids” but rather they’ve been posed as macho hell-raisers by a sad adult. Like some of those cringey video editing gags have got to be the work of a full grown joke.
Folks, DO NOT FORGET that when it was shown to be a hoax where freak-dad manipulated his kids, Loveschild said, “Lock up the dad and take the kids away!” just like the rest of us. And now when we find out that the dad is teaching his kids to be homophobic (yes, it’s a learned behavior), Loveschild is on freak-dad’s side.
You sicken me, lady.
There is no way those kids wrote the lyrics. Didn’t the mom actually appear in one shot? And the music/editing was not 10-year-old level. Those kids need help.
@23 – so, if the kid had two balloon-obsessed dads … hmm, so you’re saying we should legalize same-sex marriage for women then?
@ 25 – no, just thorough mental health exams for both prospective parents, regardless of gender.
I don’t even wanna think of a household headed up by two dads like Mr. Heene. It’d be The Great Santini, squared.
Their little-kid diction is so poor they could be reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, for all I can tell. But weird.
@6: Not funny. Prison rape is not a joke.
@21 – I don’t think that at all. That assumption seemed implicit in the post I was replying to, but it wasn’t the aspect I was addressing, so I didn’t bother debating it. I was just going with it for the sake of the argument.
I’d certainly imagine that the parents had plenty to do with it. I’m sure they were even proud ._.
It seems like the parents were involved, and it saddens me that they appear to encourage the belittling of others.
@6 Prison rape isn’t a joke.
“Make the parents pay the costs for the operation and just let it go”
This is a felony for a reason, dipshit. It’s not so much the cost that it diverts resources away from people that ACTUALLY have life-threatening emergencies.
