  1. Politicians seriously don’t understand how the internet works.
Removing the “erotic services” section from Craigslist will only cause people to go back to posting those ads in other parts of craigslist, which I believe is the whole reason craigslist put in the erotic services section in the first place.
    Duh.

  2. Politicians also don’t understand how much people hate robo-calls. If I get robo-called for Jan Drago, I will NOT be voting for her. There is a reason those calls are illegal for everyone but politicians, people hate them.

  3. When will Seattle cops and Youth Pastors learn that if you want to get away with hitting on teenagers you’ve got to be a homosexual Mayor?

  4. RE: the vampire article – if you read it, it seems that the paper is still being argued. What amazes me is the fact that the second paper cites a third source from 1982.

That’s right…physicists have been arguing about the non/existence of vampire for nearly 30 years. Maybe longer.

  5. @ 2, I find robocalls annoying too, but you can always hang up. It seems like a silly reason not to vote for someone. Are you going to abstain from voting if Drago and her opponent both robocall you?

  6. From what I have read the teen accuser has some serious credibility issues according to many people that know her from school and the program in question. Not that we should discount her claim just because she comes from a broken family but some describe her as starving for attention. It comes down to her word against his. Maybe he finally did give into temptation based on her overly affectionate persona which means he is guilty. But I would not put it past the cops to “railroad” someone that dared to stand up against the force in defending the female officer, while at the same time the cops look like they are protecting a child. It’s a win-win situation for them.

  7. The flu victim had a pre-existing medical condition, which makes her one of the high-risk groups for ANY kind of flu. Tell me, how is she different from one of the 36,000 regular flu deaths in this country? 36,000 a year is about 700 a week, so presumably a couple thousand people have died of flu since the panic began. Why do we only hear about the one with swine?

  8. Re: the cop sexual harassment story.

I’m the last person to defend sexual harassment, but if what the woman is saying is true, the guy immediately realized he did something wrong and apologized for it. A genuine apology wasn’t enough for her?

  9. The Robocall was a push poll trying to find a reason to justify Drago’s run. “Did you know Drago was a teacher? Press 1 if this makes you more likely to vote for her, Press 2 if this makes you less likely to vote for her”.
