Make My Joyplane Crash And Burn: Sounders get smoked (at least by soccer standards).
I’m Sorry That I Got Fat: Or are we?
Make Sure I’m Out Screwing Up: Obama showing signs of backing down on health care reform deadlines.

Rock Over London, Rock On Chicago:

You’re missing a story that the DNC and other groups like some unions are starting to run adds in districts or cities where there are conservadems or moderate republicans who aren’t on board on the health care thing.
But here’s the problema: Obama isn’t leading that charge and hasn’t picked a specific plan to go for. So, nobody knows what to push for, and all the ads are about vague calls for reform. that’s how you lose a message war. The Senate Finance committee key members are Democrats from MT ND FL and WV.
Obama should be building e mail lists and holding rallies in those states to get those folks on board. But, this would require actually committing to a sxpecific plan, like the HELP committee’s sensible plan to tax the rich. (The only way national health care ever gets implemented, I’d suspect). His unwillingness to commit and lead is the problem, and it’s why he’s playing defense instead of offense. Then in playing defense he now says things like “government shouldn’t run health care,” being a worse Clintonian compromiser than the Clintons!
Kinda shows it’s not a personality or personal thing, it’s endemic in our system. As long as we keep reelecting pseudoprogressives, they will continue to lie to us and not enact real change.
It can break a glass. It can also stab you in the ass.
The Daddy of Rock ‘N Roll is one of my all-time fave music documentaries. Good call on the theme this morning.

When they start taxing pot, only anti-government terrorists will think it shouldn’t be sold in stores.
With proof of age, mind you.
I voted for McCain.
If you had followed my lead, we’d have health care (and jobs) at this point.
Dan should pay the trolls to post.
