  2. Having gotten so used to new drugs coming out with wacky names, it seems a heroic service to language that Genentech calls its AIDS vaccine (one of the two that combined to mysteriously work in Thailand)…Aidsvax.

  3. Wrong. Unemployment numbers are stil increasing. The number of new unemployment claims is falling meaning the rate of increase in unemployment is falling. But unemployment is still increasing.

    Slowdown in increase is not reduction. It’s slower increase.

    The big ship is starting to turn but hasn’t turned yet.
