I’m perplexed by the resistance to swine flu vaccine. Here we have a confirmed killer of a virus, which, like the 1918 flu strain, seems to hit young people proportionately harder, and those most at risk are most reluctant to get vaccinated. I was recently seeking vaccine for a family member at a Safeway pharmacy and a Safeway employee warned me off. “Haven’t you heard people are dying from the vaccine?” No, I hadn’t so I went home and Googled and Yahoo’d the news on the vaccine and could only find reports from around the world that the vaccine was having few side effects and that these were mild. Hmmmm.
SEEC yesterday fined City Attorney Tom Carr for not reporting hundreds of dollars in donations from the lawyer for Rick’s strip club/Colacurcios.
What kind of city attorney can’t follow the rules?
Oh wait, he explained what kind…the kind who says his job is to represents the officials at city hall (himself) not us, the people.
I guess this is why Carr hasn’t even issued a public statement on this ethics violation, at least I haven’t seen any.
Given that Rosellini is all over his website, it’s hard to imagine he didn’t know who the attorney was months ago when he got the donation. You have to presume he’s writing thank you notes.
Iranian TV has an expected interesting take on the Swine Flu.

Mallahan’s cronies have to pay $5,000 on over $100,000 in donations. Hell, even waitresses get a 15% tip. Fine the bastards the whole $100,000 and make Mallahan give back the money.
@#3, interesting, their extremist wackos sound a lot like our extremist wackos.

Cute, @7. Only problem is, most people nowadays have never even seen a douchebag.
