  1. I am not a privacy freak but the Orca card has some pretty scary concerns. Basically if your employer contributes even a small portion of money towards your pass they will see everywhere you go, how often, when. Everything about your life even outside of work time. The funny thing is the ultra conservative privacy freaks don’t care. Maybe they don’t take the bus.

  10. True, @9. But unlike Seattle last December, everybody is getting around just fine, there haven’t been any transportation shut-downs or delays, and every road in the Northern Atlantic region has been sanded and salted and plowed clean as a whistle.

    At least I assume that’s the case, because, well, they just do things sooooooo much better than the incompetent boobs running this city and were totally prepared for this once-in-a-century meteorological event, right everybody?

    You’re absolutely right. I was in Seattle for that storm last year, and it was really pathetic. Everyone became giant pussies about salting the roads — I seriously couldn’t believe it. The east coast handles snowstorms efficiently and like grown-ups. Seattle handled it like an 8-year-old who’s cookie was taken away from him. Waaaahhh, help, whadda we do??
