A prison sentence has an end point, but criminal mental health confinement does not. Tiger needs to fall for the simple reason that with a fall he cannot rise again, and without rising again he can never truly take his place in the pantheon of heroes. Scott Fitzgerald famously said “there are no second acts in American lives” but he was dead wrong: without a second act no one will ever care about you. Heroes need flaws; they need to sin and then be forgiven.
Two years from now Tiger will hold hands with his wife and cry on Oprah or whatever takes her place, and all will be forgiven.

I just wanted to say something about Tiger Woods even though you keep trying to squelch this story. Here’s the interesting thing about it: If a guy gets really rich and famous, you know what he wants? Yeah…sex. Mostly with a lot of hot girls. He doesn’t want to stay home and play house with his loving wife. It’s not in the genetics of guys to want to do that.
