At 7:05 p.m., five minutes after his scheduled death, Davis’ supporters erupted in cheers, hugs and tears outside the jail in Jackson, Ga., as supporters believed Davis had been saved from the death penalty. But Davis was granted only a temporary reprieve as the Supreme Court considers the decision.
His fate is now in the hands of John, Clarence, Tony, Antonin, Ruth, Steve, Sam, Sonia, and Elena. Good luck with that crowd, Troy.

Thanks for posting something!
Maybe Johnny Dupe can help him out.
It may not be much of a hope, but it is a hope.
i was going to say ‘out of the frying pan, into the fire,’ but i guess this is more of a ‘out of the fire, into the frying pan’ scenario.
Did they find replacement poisons yet?
@2, shut up you fat asshole.
and fuck you, will.
All we need is that numbnuts KittenKoder for the trifecta.
Fingers crossed.
Apparently Thomas is the one reviewing the case. Thoughts?
Oh, I was wondering what that was about. I was just about to get on my bus and the protesters at Westlake started cheering something, which seemed odd, considering the timing.
Anyone looking for a concise rundown of why he should not be executed can check out the Guardian’s list:

Guilty or innocent, pro or anti death penalty, whateverโI’m just glad the details of his case are getting national press. We often naively assume otherwise, but people in this country go to prison every day for failing to prove their innocence, rather than the prosecution proving beyond a reasonable doubt they’re guilty.
@9
Would be interesting to see if he does the right thing for once. Isn’t he or his family from Georgia?
@8: and Seattlebigot for a writhing idiot fourtollsome orgy…
@11 – Thanks, gus – I was out of the loop.
@13. Yes, he is from Georgia.
@16
One analysis of Thomas–this may have been from the former girlfriend who knew about his porn habit and was surprised Biden never called on her to testify–is that Thomas bases his decisions on whether they benefit those he sees as being on his side. So in many instances, he’ll rule in favor of wealthy whites over blacks who have been discriminated against, since it’s the former that has supported him. Might be a scant hope, but maybe he’ll do the right thing.
@11: Word up, Linkmaster Gus.
Supreme Court has refused to block execution.
Shame on you Thomas & the Supreme Court! Shame on you Georgia. Not in My Name! This is a catastrophic failure of the justice system. SHAME!!!
Execution expected at 11p EST.

God damn it.
@8: Since KittenKoder is (apparently) of the female persuasion, I suggest an alternate term: obliviousovaries.
