  1. For the first caller: If you want to meet women, learn to salsa dance. It’s not as easy as filling out an online profile, but if you’re a halfway-nice guy and you stick with it, you’re guaranteed to meet dozens and dozens of women to be friends with and even a couple to date.

  2. Regarding the married guy whose wife used to be sex-crazy and isn’t anymore – I think one obvious reason was left out, and it’s exactly what happened with me.

I did things when I was 18,19,20,21 and in college that I wouldn’t do as a 27 year old adult with a job and a husband. I went out drinking until 4 a.m. on weeknights, and peed behind dumpsters in alleys. I skipped class to go shopping with my roommates. I was irresponsible in ways that were really fun at the time but are not sustainable. I was also very sexually adventurous, and I still am very sexual, but it’s like the difference between getting shitfaced and puking in some flowerbeds and just getting kinda drunk.

Dan also totally skipped the guy’s “I was too busy studying in college” comment. Um, what? Too busy studying every single night to take advantage of your hot sexy girlfriend’s hot sexy sex life? That is so weird and really needed to be addressed. If I spent 4 years being adventurous and my boyfriend was just like “ok, have fun i’ll be at the library” why on EARTH would I think that after we got older and married he would be into it. Honestly, some things are phases, and some things are more interesting when you’re younger and hotter and have a lot of same-age boys and girls around.

(this is not to say that some people aren’t sexually wild for many many years, just that it is possible to have a crazy phase without having “duped” your partner)

  3. i normally very much enjoy listening to your podcast. this week, however i had to shut it off. as an anarcho-libertarian, who is currently studing austrian economics, i can say without a shred of doubt that social security is NOT fine. it is not solvent. from the book “the politically incorrect giude to american history” by Tom Woods phd..”researchers C. Edwards and T. DeHaven found that in 2003, the average male reaching age 65 could expect to recieve $71,000 more in benefits… then he had paid in. the avergae 25 year old male could expect to pay $322,000 more in taxes than he will ever get back.
come on, Dan… for the record, i am “for gay marriage” (and the nullification of all our current prohibitions) in that i dont care what anyone does in the privacy of their homes as long as they arent hurting others! i dont understand where govt got the power to bestow marriage uopn us, anyway!

  4. great article! normally i dont even bother sharing “lolbertarianism”..but saying that SS is fine blew me away! none of the titillating sex talk in all the world would have distracted me from that one! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. To the girl with the dissociative fantasies at the end of the episode: I’m a 26 year-old kinky female with the EXACT same “problem.” I heard your question at the gym and almost dropped the weights on myself.

Dan’s advice to you was 100% on. I’ve been able to have a phenomenally satisfying sex life after embracing the fact that I’m a taboo fetishist and finding someone who’s willing to indulge these fantasies. He and I will roleplay daddy/daughter, brother/sister, teacher/student…all of the relationships with power exchange capabilities. And once I started doing that and having great sex in real life, not just in my head, I started entering my own fantasies. It worked for me; it’ll work for you, too. Good luck.

  6. For me, there is nothing more unattractive and depressing than witnessing an open mind slam shut. An open mind means possibility, fun and play. There is nothing fun about linear and predictable.
