Posing as her character C.J. Cregg, who was the press secretary in the critically acclaimed show that ran from 1999 until 2006, actress Allison Janney took a surprise turn on the podium to the delight and surprise of the real White House press corps.

She was there “to call attention to the opioid epidemic,” she told the press corps, adding that the issue means a lot to her personally. “Her current show on CBS, Mom, deals with drug addiction and its struggles,” NPR adds.

She plays a flustered, flirtatious school librarian and, even though she’s in the movie very briefly, her scene, lasting from the 1:20 mark to the 2:10 mark, leaves a permanent impression.
