Last week, Seattle singer Parisalexa dropped a new song "2 Real." xx

The Seattle singer Parisalexa made waves last summer with the release of her EP Bloom, which topped several local critics lists for release of the year. And after a successful appearance on NBC's songwriter reality series Songland (where her song and performance made pop superstar Charlie Puth give her a standing ovation) this summer, singer Parisalexa appears to be gearing up to take over. Last week she hit us with another single, "2 Real," off her as-yet-untitled debut album that's due out sometime next year.

The track—whose cover art was designed by Stranger contributor Stevie Shao—has smoky Brandy vibes with a stringy acoustic guitar threaded underneath the trap-adjacent bass line, which Paris's voice sails over. Detailing her frustrations with friends, dudes, and collaborators not reciprocating the energy she's putting out, "2 Real" is a solid R&B track that documents the singer on the ascent.

In addition to the new tunes, Parisalexa also announced a slew of tour dates beginning in late January where she'll be supporting vibe-y R&B singer Xavier Omär and local producer extraordinaire Sango. Check out "2 Real" (and her tour dates) after the jump:
