GeekGirlCon is possibly the first-ever fan convention specifically aimed at geeks who happen to be female, and it’s happening right here in our fair city this weekend. Saturday’s workshops include zine-making 101, a young adult author panel, “stunt-grrls,” and “Whedonistas.” Today brings comics, cosplay, Harry Potter, and the closing ceremony: a Labyrinth sing-along. Gentlemen are welcome, but if you attend solely to mack on damsels, please note this guideline from the website: “All swords, daggers, or similar items must be kept sheathed at all times.” Sheath it, bro. Uh-oh! The dates (on the logo) show that it’s happening October 8 & 9…..also pricing is incorrect. :B
Hi there, shibuyababy. The con is indeed happening on the 9th, which is the day that we’re suggesting it (we can’t pick the same thing both days in a row). Also, that price is correct for a one-day pass, you can check on GGC’s website. Thanks!
