GeekGirlCon is possibly the first-ever fan convention specifically aimed at geeks who happen to be female, and it’s happening right here in our fair city this weekend. Saturday’s workshops include zine-making 101, a young adult author panel, “stunt-grrls,” and “Whedonistas.” Today brings comics, cosplay, Harry Potter, and the closing ceremony: a Labyrinth sing-along. Gentlemen are welcome, but if you attend solely to mack on damsels, please note this guideline from the website: “All swords, daggers, or similar items must be kept sheathed at all times.” Sheath it, bro. 1. Hi there, shibuyababy. The con is indeed happening on the 9th, which is the day that we’re suggesting it (we can’t pick the same thing both days in a row). Also, that price is correct for a one-day pass, you can check on GGC’s website. Thanks!
