All in one season, she was hit by a car, dazzled by a strobe-lit dance at Pacific Northwest Ballet, and suddenly aware of her mother’s aging. That’s when this young Seattle artist began to develop. For her second solo show at James Harris, Underphotos, Margot Quan Knight has made photographs of the photographs hanging on the walls of her childhood home (some family portraits, some works of art), shot so they reveal reflections of the rooms they’re in. They are almost painfully gorgeous, and complicated. Knight wants you to consider every photograph in the world—but especially these—”as a site-specific object.” (James Harris Gallery, 312 Second Ave S, 903-6220. 11 am–5 pm, free. Through May 8.)

We Middle Class taxpayers LOVE HIM. Especially those of us with a kid in college, or young adults going to college.
