For one night only, Ed Wood’s 1959 classic of so-bad-it’s-goodness Plan 9 from Outer Space is strewn across the huge, glorious screen at the Uptown Cinema, with running commentary provided by a panel of world-renowned smartasses. Leading the charge is Dana Gould (Simpsons writer, esteemed comedian, and, most importantly, the guy who rammed into Evie Harris and left her wanting seconds in Girls Will Be Girls). Mr. Gould will be joined by Mystery Science Theatre 3000’s Frank Conniff and Trace Beaulieu. Expect real-life spit takes. (SIFF Cinema at the Uptown, 511 Queen Anne Ave N, www.siff.net, 7 pm, $15)
