Like all good things, today’s GLBT Pride celebration is two-pronged.
Prong number one: The parade, which makes its way down Fourth Avenue
from Union to Denny. (Expect noisy motorcycles, ambitious floats, and
glittery everything.) Prong number two: The Seattle Center
PrideFest, which features beer gardens, live music and dance
performances, and roving hordes of gays and those who love them.
(Pride Parade 11 am–2:30 pm, PrideFest 11 am–7 pm, both
events free. For full info, see www.seattlepride.org.

  1. Not sure which is spammier, 3 or 4. Fnarf, a kajillion thanks for writing so beautifully about The Lucksmiths. Midweek Midmorning has been my song of the summer so far!

  2. Fnarf, do us all a favor and go jump off the Aurora Bridge please. I know you are a stumpy little big toe, so just ask someone for a lift over the tall railing.

    thanks

  3. still no bi pride float… i swear, if I wasn’t stoned and lazy I’d make a float for all the bi guys and gals out there =)

  4. @9: Being bi/poly, I just assumed *all* the floats were for me. 😛

Was it just me, or was there even more corporate and churchiness in the parade this year? I wish the organizers would filter a bit. Some businesses and politicians and churches might deserve a presence, but a lot of others were grandstanding.

  5. You bitches wanna come for Fnarf? You’re gonna have to get through me first. I’m older than you, and I have more insurance, so bring it, mother fuckers!

Oh, and Happy Pride Day! 🙂

  6. Why no involvement from The Stranger this year, aside from ad-related blurbs? What happened with the parade judging/prizes? Was anyone from The Stranger covering the parade and event(s), or do you only do that when a VIP booth is set up for you?

  7. Gosh, look at the love! Thank you people. However, my antagonist does have a point; I am a short, stumpy little bastard. I’m definitely going to need a boost over that railing. Why don’t you run on down there, preferably during rush hour, and wait for me?

Oh, and can someone please kill these qazxwd, qazxcv accounts? They shouldn’t be too hard to spot in the user list.

  8. “We love Fnarf” because he sucks our small Slog penis and never questions us. He’s the perfect sycophant, and all the better that he’s drunk all the time, so as not to engage in any form of reality.

  9. the stranger wasn’t involved because it was a actual free block party event that had music and fun.

Savage only sponsors uber-expensive ‘block parties’ with shittier bands and nazi beer like coors
