This Saturday, June 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be a Families Belong Together Rally at the Federal Detention Center in SeaTac, organized with the intention of protesting the Trump administration’s inhumane persecution of immigrants at America’s southern border. It’s expected to be big: On the Facebook page that was created for the event, nearly 1,500 people have marked that they’re “interested” in attending.

If you can’t make it to SeaTac, there will also be a rally at the Snohomish County Courthouse in Everett and one at the People’s Park in Tacoma.

Tonight, the School of Visual Concepts and the Riveter Capitol Hill will host sign-making events for the rally.

On Sunday, there will be a Solidarity Day at the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma, and the Book Larder will hold a bake sale with proceeds benefiting RAICES, a non-profit that provides “free and low-cost legal services to underserved immigrant children, families, and refugees in Texas.”
