You heathens. Baseball is our national pastime and y’all want to name the Mariners’ Stadium after Dan Savage? He doesn’t even like sports!

Backing up. Yesterday, from Tess Riski:
On Tuesday morning, the Mariners and Safeco Insurance announced the naming rights of Seattle’s baseball stadium will not extend beyond the 2018 season.
In 1998, the two parties reached the 20-year naming rights agreement. The park opened in July of 1999 as Safeco Field.
…
Mariners have started the preliminary process of finding potential naming rights partners, leaving many to wonder, what will the stadium be called? People are weighing in.
We asked. You weighed in. Regrettably, The Stranger recommends the Safeco Field be renamed to… Savage Love Stadium.
