This would be more punk if it was placed over anyone but Kshama Sawant’s sign, one of the only city council members to keep the words “Tax big businesses like Amazon,” “Green New Deal,” and “rent control” constantly in their mouths. The sticker slapped on Debora Juarez’s sign makes more sense (no offense CM Juarez!). It’s a fun placement though! And it looks like both Juarez, Herbold, and Sawant will be around for a little longer….
Throw “ur dads money” in the garbage! For awhile I was thinking that this sticker was advising people who have their dad’s money to throw it away, but now I’m thinking that it’s saying if you have your dad’s money in the first place, YOU’RE the trash :\
This bad boy on 12th manages to capture that unsettling feeling of being too high. Honestly, I smoke weed every single day and still manage to overdo it. I make a pot of tea to bring me back down.
I’ve been seeing these stickers around the city a lot recently, thinking it’s an acronym for something: “Skate King Rightfully Yields Boldly,” “So, Kids Really Yearn (for) Beans?, “Swift Knives Ream Yellow Bears.” Yeah, none of those are right. From what I can surmise, it’s the name of a graffiti artist who does a lot of work on trains and other buildings. Here’s a video, if you’re interested. SKRYB, if you’re reading this, please feel free to reach out to me!!
As always, if any of these stickers belong to you, email me at jkeimig@thestranger.com.
