Freakout Festival Isn’t Happening This Year

Fiscal uncertainty has forced organizers to focus on smaller shows year-round at various venues.

In another blow to Seattleโ€™s nightlife ecosystem, Freakout Festivalโ€™s organizers have decided not to hold its marquee event this fall. Whatโ€™s the State of SIFF in 2026?

The festival has been through its worst year in recent memory, and they have a smaller festival to show for it. But looking forward, staff are cautiously optimistic.
