idea for next year: besides the visual cues (applets, pink slip) that let us know they made the film for us, you should ask filmmakers to add something to the soundtrack like showtunes, Dylan tunes, or something tp keep the cheesy porno music away.

I’d have to say that overall, there was a lot of great laugh moments that you will never see from a professionally produced porno or raunchy comedy. There were a few in there that I couldn’t keep my eyes fixed on (though I had to watch out of curiosity for a moment), and that I just couldn’t really understand the appeal of it, it just doesn’t translate to me. But it’s also great that the people who made those got to make their movie and have a place for it. I don’t think they expect that everyone in the audience will love it or even be able to watch it.
I also found that some of the funniest ones were also some of the hottest ones. “How To Please Your Man”? DANG.
Beyond Gay was great, too. Probably my favorite overall, even though it was probably the most PG of the bunch.
Inga Ingenue and Polly Wood as 50’s housewives? I am tickled pink!
And oh yeah…I forgot the actual title, but the Sex Moves one was great because, though it was perhaps not the funniest, it was really, really, funny, very fun-spirited, it was a little gross, but it was all silly, fun, slapstick gross, and it was the ONLY film that had both gay and straight couples in it, and having sex (or at least faux sex that takes just about as much guts as the real thing) in the same room, same shot.
My 2 cents. I’ve got the Guide To Hump next to me. Everyone’s a critic. I’m a straight male critic so be warned 🙂
Dance Belt:
I think I walked in late because I arrived halfway through Citizen Came. I don’t even know what a dance belt is and the lack of them in this video has me curious…
Citizen Came:
Funny, original and daring. Didn’t expect to see or anticipate seeing a documentary style porn…but the title had me expecting a spoof appropriate of the title (didn’t have the Guide before going to the premiere).
Full Swap:
Got old after a the first minute or two. Expecting something to happen at the end and then… Great for voyeur’s who love timelapses I guess?
Boys Beware:
Did they take audio from a 50’s child predator educational film or did they do that themselves? Either way, great find and editing, or whoever’s voice that is has it made for the 50’s education market. Being straight and trying to be polite in not holding my hands over my eyes during the cumshot, this was fairly well done and got the point across. Definitely a cool way to go from educational video to porn. Loved some of the audio voice over’s edited in during the porn sequence.
Read My Lips:
Didn’t quite get this one…I do know how to read, just not my thing. Love Powell’s though!
I’m Hard:
Great song but the laughter in the audience drowned out probably some really great lyrics. Had me wishing it was a real penis rapping with a face composited onto it and maybe getting love from some groupies? Anyone else?
The Good Book:
Liked the religious theme. Seemed to drag on though, one of the one’s that could have earned more points in my book if they didn’t stretch to fill the entire 5 minutes.
How To Please Your Man:
I thought this was definately hot and funny at the same time. But I am partial to blowjob videos, don’t know why, just am. The commercials at the front and back of it earned it extra points in my book (Penis-On haha). Got my vote for funniest but it took me a minute to find it on the ballot cause in my head I just kept thinking “Larry King”. Hopefully it won’t succumb because of a Supreme Court halt on a Florida Recount.
Beyond Gay:
Funny dialogue, very PG overall though. Dialogue probably could’ve been on a late night sitcom. Great writing or improv whichever it was. I say 2nd place for funniest.
Incubus:
Very artsy but unfortunately being surrounded by all this funny business, as I was watching it, the whole time I’m expecting something funny to happen. Maybe the room was going to fill up with the “fluid”? Would have had more impact if other videos would have been along similar lines, kind of the luck of the draw I guess. Definitely understandable if this one wins hottest.

Umm, this one was a little off the wall but I guess if you’re into gay sex, strange locations and mining headlights it probably got your vote for hottest maybe?
Sex Moves 102:
Funny to see these “moves” we’ve heard jokes about acted out on screen.
Violet Uprising:
Just seemed weird to me. But if you’re into puppets maybe you’d have liked it. I’m a fan of stop-motion animation but this still seemed odd.
Maximum Overload:
Cool concept with the whole alternate reality criss-crossing reality with a dash of porn. Cool vintage looking visual effects. With a little more effort this one could have been the hottest.
Trolley Tryst:
Wow they really are doing it on the Trolley. How many different rides did this take? Multiple cameras? No cumshot because they got caught? Too bad. Hats off to the daringness of it all.
Guess Who’s Cumming To Dinner:
Cliche gay porn, but hey it was the only of it’s kind in the festival. Nothing wrong with cliche or gay, just didn’t hold my attention.
The Password:
Hurt to watch. Understandable if some people voted for this for the hottest but if it actually wins the hottest then I think Seattle has a very large disturbed sexual community.
The Modern Housewife:
This got my vote for the hottest. Mainly because of the ladies involved, very sexy. Of course 50’s sexy and black and white always gets me.

Dragged on but in the end was worth it with the squirter shot.
Our Ruinous Love:
What drawer to they keep all that stuff in? Strange what your neighbors might be doing. Kind of like “The Password”, some might think it hot, but if it wins hottest I will be concerned.
Fuck:
Funny exaggerated Mexican accents are always funny to me. Started out great giving me high hopes. Should have gone farther though. Was a good idea with a disappointing final product.
Cyclust:
Again the gay stuff ain’t my bag but this was very cool and definitely exuded the mood. Went good with the music and could very well win hottest.
ET2:
Very funny but would’ve been way cooler as live action (and quite a challenge). Can’t you get that ET suit on eBay or something? ET and the girl from Larry King could compete for the deep throating award (if there was one). This has a good chance of winning funniest, but partly because it was the finale of the show.
I’d love to hear what others thought about each of the videos. Most of the talk on here so far is the shock factor of that anal hook business and the anti-porn weirdos pushing they’re beliefs to the wrong audience.

“Incubus” was beautiful, “Cyclust” was adorable, “Beyond Gay” was hilarious, and I want to have the guts of the “Trolley Tryst” pair. I think it was an excellent year for Hump!

I never ever ever thought that I would watch porn in a theater… with my friends… while wearing a black cocktail dress and cascading pink beaded earrings. At first, I was quite worried that someone from my family would find out about it and become disgusted with me and call me a pervert. But this experience helped me realize what a fancy grown-up lady I’ve become! Independent of familial expectations that are oppressive and controlling. Does anyone remember/know the name of the director of “Incubus” or the piece of music playing during it? Not erotic (for me personally) but absolutely breathtaking in coolness. I loved “Cyclust” as well. I wrote “best directed” on the ballot and added a 1 by Incubus and 2 by Cyclust… I realize that’s not a category, but maybe if there’s enough support for it, we can get it added for next year. Who’s with me?

Personally I thought “How To Please Your Man” was funnier than “Beyond Gay” and even if torn between the two on the funny meter I think Beyond Gay was way to PG-13 for an amatuer porn festival. The showing I went to the crowd was rolling during “How To Please” and just chuckling during “Beyond”. And “Dance Belt”? I thought for sure “Citizen Came” had it over that, actually I thought most would have it over “Dance Belt”…maybe I just didn’t get that one. Anybody else notice the cameraman in the mirror? Was he naked too?
I thought “Cyclelust” was going to win Sexiest, mainly because it was the only that didn’t seem to be going for the Funniest category, aside from “Incubus” but that I thought was too creepy and abstract to win Sexiest. “Modern Housewife” did have some good girl-on-girl action. The submissions that made it to the festival this year just didn’t offer much up for Sexiest I thought so it was a tough choice on the ballot and most likely a case of process of elimination. “Trolley Tryst” I’m sure would have gotten 1st place if they hadn’t gotten caught giving them more time to get down into it real good.
