Earlier this month a member of the machinists union confirmed that Brayden Olson had been talking with local leaders about jumping into the already prettayy, prettayy, prettayy, prettayyyyyy crowded race to prevent Republican nightmare Dino Rossi from becoming a Congressman.

Now Brayden For Our Future dot com is up and the Federal Election Commission has been notified. He’s running.

29-year-old Olson is known for being the president of a holding company called Wilhelm Enterprises, taking a strong stance against domestic violence, not filling state House Rep. Patty Kuderer’s seat, and dealing with the fact that Business Insider referred to him as “Seattle’s Christian Grey.”

Considering Congressman Dave Reichert’s decision not to run for re-election next year, some political analysts argue that Democrats hoping to flip the district from red to blue might now have a better chance of doing so.

I’ll have more on how Olson thinks he’s going to do that once I get ahold of him. Check back here for more updates.

Olson is now one of eight Democrats running for Congress in Washington’s 8th district. Rossi is the only Republican currently running. Though Rossi lost three state-wide races in the past, he raised $578,822.00 last quarter, which is a lot.
