This week’ll get by with a little help from its friends (that’s us)! We’re lending a schedule-planning hand with suggested events from Olivia Rodrigo to RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars LIVE and from THING Festival to Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp, Billy Strings: Outlaw Fest. For a look at what the rest of the month has in store, check out our August events guide.

COMMUNITY

From Hiroshima to Hope
This annual ceremony held on the anniversary of the atomic bombings at Hiroshima and Nagasaki honors all victims of war and violence with candlelit floating lanterns adorned with messages of peace and hope. Lanterns personalized by local calligraphists will be available. Now in its 40th year, From Hiroshima to Hope encourages us to reflect and gather with fellow community members through art and performance—this year, the program includes a dance piece from choreographer Gabrielle Nomura Gainor, drumming from Seattle Kokon Taiko, and a reading from Filipino-Japanese poet and organizer Troy Osaki. EverOut is The Stranger's new website devoted to things to do in Seattle and across the Pacific Northwest. It has all the same things you're used to seeing from Stranger EverOut Staff, just in a new spot!...
