At the end of a Seattle summer, nobody requires a reason to walk outdoors, so what I’m about to recommend is all a bonus. Tonight I’d join the free tour through the sculpture park at 6:30 with Seattle Art Museum’s two conservators, Nicholas Dorman and Liz Brown. They’ll tell you how they care for the art that lives in the elements day and night, which is probably the most ungodly-complex part of their neat-o jobs. Food trucks will be pulled up, Valse Café Orchestra will play music, and artist Janet Fagan will run a group of free-form sketchers. Soak it up, try to take it with you.
